3 things to research before you move abroad

So you want to move abroad...and you are wondering:

Well don't worry, I've got you!I've picked out 3 things that I wish I had known when I started researching moving abroad, and I've included them all in one place to make your life easier.

1. Finances

You need to research your student loan plan. You may need to notify the student loan company, and you will need to look into what your obligations are in relation to your student loans.

You will also need to look into your bank and investment accounts to check their rules on living abroad. Not all accounts will allow you to use them if you are a resident in the UK.

2. Visas

You need to find out whether you need a visa, and, if so, which type. This varies by country and depends on what you want to do, e.g. if you need a residency visa or a work visa.

You should also check the processing times, as they could affect your moving plans.

3. Admin

Make sure you have copies of all your important documents, as you'll likely need them during the move.

Things like bank statements, qualification certificates, vaccination records, payslips etc.
