- Lisbon - 72 hours in the city
I spent 72 hours in Lisbon back in March for the half marathon and now I am reporting on all the best things we did while we were there so you can enjoy them too!
Day 1: Arrival and dinner
We went straight from landing to check into our Airbnb. We stayed near the Castle of Sao Jorge.
For dinner on the first night we went to the Time Out Market. This was a great option where a reservation is needed and you can pick from a huge variety of food spots.
Make sure you get the pastel de nata from Manteigaria.

Day 2: Sightseeing
We started day 2 with brunch at Breakfast Lovers Alfama. This was honestly one of the best brunches I have ever had. It was basically a 3 course breakfast for 19 euro.

We then spent the rest of the day wandering around Lisbon, exploring the old streets and enjoying the sun.
For lunch we stopped at honest greens (a novelty for us because we don’t have one at home!)
Then dinner was a carb load at M’arrecreo for pizza. We were in Lisbon for the half marathon back in March so this day of eating fueled us perfectly for the race the next day.
Day 3: Race day
Day 3 for us was race day so we got to do even more sightseeing, running over the 25 de Abril Bridge and taking in the coast line. The race was swiftly followed by drinks in the sun and dinner.
I am going to write in more detail about the half marathon including the sign up process, race day logistics and the course so make sure you are subscribed to our newsletter to be the first to hear about that!
